The time period 1991-1993 falls during their later career phase when the band continued to evolve its sound after the classic albums like Welcome to Hell (1981) and Black Metal (1982).
The band focuses on a transformative period for Venom, during which the band navigated lineup changes and experimented with new musical directions. 
After defining the black metal genre in the 1980s, they began incorporating more thrash and heavy metal elements.
