Cherry Red are delighted and incredibly proud to release the very first CD from the legend that is Tony Blackburn.
The doyen of Radio Caroline, Radio London and of course Radio One had a parallel career as a singer and THE COLLECTOR label, in conjunction with Phil ‘The Collector’ Swern and Tony himself now present - here on the one disc – all of those revered 45s, originally released on such prominent labels as Fontana, MGM, Polydor, RCA and Decca.
The most famous track is probably ‘I’ll Do Anything (Anything She Wants Me To Do)’ which went massive at Wigan Casino in the early 70s under the moniker of Lenny Gamble (no relation to Kenny Gamble!).

Here’s a word from Tony himself:
Knowing so many of you never had the opportunity to hear some of my earlier recordings due to lack of airplay by uncaring producers and fellow DJ’s who couldn’t at the time appreciate my work, I was persuaded by Phil (The Collector) Swern to release these long lost gems, copies of which I have been led to believe have been changing hands for as much as twenty pence a time. This is my gift to the nation so sit back, relax and enjoy, you know it makes sense, I love you all….Tony.
