“One Way Love Affair” was sampled by 9th Wonder featuring Terrace Martin, Phonte and Bird & The Midnight Falcons” in 2011 in a song “One Night”.


Marc Sadane is from Savannah, Georgia. He was Music Director of his church choir before a move to New York. He joined a group Tungsten Steele in which he was lead singer having decided to make music his career choice. He performed in off-Broadway theatre and performed in Paris as a lead vocalist in “Your Arms Are Too Short To Box With God”. Becoming a solo artist he established himself on the New Your club scene and befriended Phyllis Hyman. He supported Stephanie Mills in concert and the connection between Marc and his favourite soul divas was James Mtume & Reggie Lucas, the producers who took him to Warner Brothers and are behind the two albums we present here.
Mtume & Lucas thrived as writers and producers during a decade of recording extravagance in the late 70s/early 80s, their lavish sound defining an era of soul music with hits for aforementioned Phyllis and Stephanie Mills. Marc did not release any new music until a liaison with Darryl Payne on a compilation “Past Present And Future” in 1988. More recently he has re-invented himself as Marc Sir Dane and recently released new music via CD Baby.
