For the first time on CD comes “Prime Time” with the debut album by Grey & Hanks, “You Fooled Me”. Zane Grey and Len Ron Hanks were songwriters and producers from Chicago. Like their Philadelphia contemporaries McFadden & Whitehead, they stepped into the studio as recording artists in the late 70s to capitalize on their success and the vast popularity of the day’s soul and disco sound. On these two albums recorded for RCA, their sole output as artists, they combine their studio skills with a display of Zane Grey’s formidable vocal prowess atop a congregation of the finest musicians in the genre (including Earth Wind & Fire” on hits “Dancin’” and “You Fooled Me”). Includes the ‘rare groove’ “Since I Found You” and boogie classic “Now I’m Fine”.
